Hello, Hello, Is there anybody out there? Grimerica is on Substack now...

Mainly for the Grimerica Outlawed podcast, that seems a bit too controversial for other platforms. This is our welcome post. Thanks for subscribing.

Hey. I’m Graham Dunlop, podcaster, narrator, event host and researcher from the Grimerica Podcasts. I work with Darren Grimes, my cohost, author, audio editor, and father of three. We are joining Substack to share our written work but also specifically our deeper and more controversial weekly podcast called Grimerica Outlawed. Outlawed has always been audio, with the second half for subscribers only. But with these new platforms and the ability to host video, we are going to provide the same content but also in video (for the most part, as much as possible). Substack has been such a critical resource for us and we have found many great journalists, researchers and deep narrative deconstructions on here. 

Darren has self published three books related to the Canadian Government, The Indian Act and the Residential Schools. His first book “A Canadian Shame - The Indian Act and Residential Schools” is on Audible, Apple Books, paperback and the ebook is now out for free as well.

His second book “In Their Own Words - Testimony From the Students of Canada’s Indigenous Residential School Program” is coming to audio/video on YouTube and eventually  Audible and Apple Books as well. This production will feel and look more like a documentary than an Audiobook. The ebook for this is also available for free.

The third book”The Indian Act of Canada - Consolidated Acts and Amendments 1868-1975  is strictly a compilation of the actual acts and government documents that are increasingly harder to find copies of. There is a free ebook of this also…

Personally I have not really had a social media presence at all besides Instagram for the show and for our Audiobooks, Of course my voice has been out there for 10 years on podcasts and now on many Audiobooks, and the occasional video. I suppose it’s time to try and get comfortable with a more visual appearances. Funny it’s what an Astrologer just told me that will end up happening….  Maybe I will try now and get more involved since our appearance in Substack happens to coincide with the launch of Notes.

Darren had a decent presence on twitter but has since been permanently suspended for vaguely mean and hateful comments to Canadian Politicians. 

We have almost 100 Audiobooks published on Audible and also on a new YouTube channel strictly for that content, with some full books for free. "Bringing rare and forgotten books to audio for the world. Ancient Wisdom, Magic, Esotericism, Secret Societies and Historical Political Philosophy. Most of our work in full form will be on Audible, Apple Books and many other audiobook platforms. Some of it will be here, (YouTube) when possible. You can find them all at adultbrain.ca or search for them on Audible."

Inevitably we end up researching and talking about fairly deep and sometimes dark topics on the show. So we try to chat about solutions as well, thus we have been hosting tours/events around North America. Like / Open-minded people getting together or a long weekend or week long themed adventure. Utah, Washington Scablands, Colorado, Shasta, Egypt, are just some of the places we have been fortunate enough to meet and hang out with interesting guests and listeners to the show.

We will be providing our weekly free content here and for those that want the full episode and the extra content please subscribe. This will help us greatly and support the show.
